Congratulations to Rinus and Jaap Sinke for again placing very high at Le Mans Classique. Also a well-done to all the other Healeys that ran so well. Sorry I could not be there to witness the race this year.

Having attended - sponsored and taken a trade stand at the 2006 event - which was absolutely superb - I was more than happy to help promote worldwide the 2008 event - sponsor and market the regalia items which have been sold to all 4 corners of the Austin Healey Globe.
The Historic Photos placed mainly by Hans v d Kerkhof are nothing short of amazing and it is a tribute to Hans and Rinus and all the Dutch Healey Club and its committe and members for putting this record together for all to see and enjoy.

Prachtig resultaat Jaap, mooi driftwerk wederom in de nacht bij de Dunlop brug, en mooie publieks-toegift op het einde. Het was weer de moeite waard om voor op te staan

Een herhaling van 2006 wat mij betreft Mijn dank aan de mensen van de organisatie met name Hans van de Kerkhof en Rinus Sinke die het voortouw hebben genomen om dit evenement van de grond te trekken Chapeau heren. Tevens bedank ik ook alle anderen die achter de schermen en tijdens dit evenement hand en spandiensten hebben verricht ten einde dit weekend tot een succes te maken. In één woord grandioos.

I want to thank the guys from the starting grid who push started me after the Le Mans start. I know how hard it is to push a Healey up hill.
Special thanks to the guy who jumped over the pit wall in the race overall and sheered up the OCA guys to keep pushing.

We hebben weer genoten van een fantastisch weekend. Eén groot spektakel van bijzondere auto historie en mensen die daar wat mee doen. Hulde aan Hans en Rinus en iedereen die bij de organisatie betrokken is geweest want alles was perfect geregeld. Ik weet hoeveel tijd in zo een evenement gaat zitten. Enorm bedankt.
Het dak van de Healey is het hele weekend niet omhoog geweest, dus ook de weergoden werkten mee.

What a superb weekend a big thank you to all the Dutch guys and girls who nmade us so welcome. Excellent hospitality both in the circuit and at the camp site. Some strange drinking games at the campsite on Sunday night, but hey who cares when you've had that much beer What a great result for the 64 car, a real bonus to watch the excellent racing from the Dunlop stand.
How good was it take part in the track laps with so many other Healey's and for a short time to experience what it must feel like for racers past and present. Thanks again for such a great weekend, just have to wait for 2010 till we can do it all again at the next Classic ?

Dit was een topweekend. Veel race- evenementen meegemaakt, maar deze staat echt bovenaan. Super gezellig, perfect georganiseerd en wat een mooie auto's. Ben zeker volgende keer weer van de partij.

Thank you all so much and particularly Hans and Rinus for making the only Healey Silverstone so welcome in your Austin Healey enclosure. And congratulations to car no 64 for such a fantastic performance in grid 3 - quite how you can drive down the Mulsanne straight at 255 kph is a real testament to your skills and nerves. Bij zo’n organisatie komt veel kijken. En ik heb begrepen dat het niet allemaal vlekkeloos verliep…wat betreft de voorbereiding/medewerking van de Fransen betreft..…maar gedurende het evenement liep alles op rolletjes en hoefden wij, als gasten, ‘slechts te genieten’…….EN DAT HEBBEN WE GEDAAN..

en om toch maar in de Franse stijl te blijven CHAPEAU voor de organisatie

De afwezigen hadden weerom ongelijk. Fantastisch evenement, herinneringen om lang te koesteren,zelf voor goed weer werd gezorgd Heren van het racingteam, proficiat met jullie mooie prestaties op het circuit, organisatiecommitee, bedankt

Net terug van Healey meets Le Mans 2008, geweldig Groot compliment en veel dank aan het team van Healey meets Le Mans, Koos, Flip, Jetze, Hans, Jaap, Rinus en al die mensen die ik vergeten ben. Perfect geregeld ondanks de Fransen, geweldige sfeer en zeldzaam mooi evenement.

Super, de adrealine stijgt nog 2 nachtjes ongeduldig slapen de 100m poppelt om na revisie de eerste lange rit te maken, het gaat zeker goedkomen.

Stel, dat het automerk Austin Healey je niets zegt. Of minder erg, je niet precies weet waar dit automerk zijn oorsprong had en door wie getekend en ontwikkelt? Geen probleem. Deze site geeft daar klip en klaar een antwoord op. Duidelijk geordende rubrieken in een prettige en logische volgorde. Op de juiste plaatsen zijn linken geimplementeerd om snel de gevraagde informatie te ontvangen. En dan de geweldige hoeveelheid foto's en video's die zijn toegevoegd. De foto's en video's geven een realistisch beeld en geluid van de sfeer van 7,8 en 9 juli 2006 weer. Nicky ik mis eigenlijk nog een ding en dat is ....... de geur van olie en benzine. Misschien is dat mogelijk bij de volgende generatie computers. Nicky, ik heb het je al persoonlijk gezegd gewoon TOP. Hans, als deze site een afspiegeling is van wat we in 2008 weer mogen verwachten dan beloofd het wederom een fantastische happening te worden. In 2006 moest ik helaas de Healey meets Le Mans laten schieten omdat er zonodig een rally Amsterdam-Beijing gereden moest worden in een concurrerend merk de MG. Jammer dacht ik, dit komt NOOIT meer terug..
Maar hoe verrast was ik toen ik zag dat dezelfde immer enthousiaste initiatiefnemers van het eerste uur, Rinus,Hans en Flip hun nek weer uitsteken om Le mans 2008 voor ons te organiseren. Nu mensen ik ben er in ieder nu wel bij
Betreffende de site kan ik de makers alleen maar feliciteren. Schitterend van opbouw, goede kleuren en dat te denken wat een werk is verzet door het neefje van Hans, Nicky Baars en de oude meester himself. Ik heb begrepen dat het einde nog niet in zicht is. De site wordt nu door mij elke week bekeken.
